You want to have your workshops in your online course plan in a list view, but your classes in the calendar view? Here we show you how to set different event views in fitogramPRO and what you have to take into account when doing so.
In fitogramPRO you have the option to display different event types in your online course calendar in different views. You can get an overview of the event types here.
Specify event view for each event type
You can adjust the actual event views for your online course calendar in fitogramPRO under Settings > Shop & Widgets > Basic settings > Navigation menu. Here you have the option to select a suitable event view for each event type.
In the default view, “All events” is displayed in the “Calendar view”. This view displays a whole week from Monday to Sunday.
In addition, you can specify which further information you want to display under Settings > Shop & Widgets > Basic settings > Event details to display on calendar. For example, here you can select location, trainer and free spaces.
Simple calendar view
The simple calendar view also displays the events in a weekly overview. However, please note that only the time is displayed. For this reason, this only makes sense if you offer event blocks for your individual training sessions into which customers can book themselves.
In the list view you can list your events per day one after the other. We recommend this view for classes that take place at varying times. This way, the course calendar will appear a little less cluttered.
You can select this view for any event type. However, for workshops, prevention and retreats, only the first event of an event series is displayed. The simple reason for this is that our experience has shown that all the dates for these events should be booked in a bundle. This way, we prevent a customer from booking into only one of three events, for example.
Example: A workshop is created which takes place from 15.09 to 18.09. In the list view, only the 15.09 is displayed. However, the customer will get an overview of the upcoming events in the event details.
List view with pictures
If you want to highlight your workshops even more, it makes sense to choose the list view with pictures. In addition to the simple list view, a cover picture and the event description are also displayed here.
Before you select this view, we recommend that you make sure your events also contain a cover picture under Settings > Pictures management. If this is not the case, upload a great photo by clicking on “Upload”.
Just as with the simple list view, only the first event of an event series is displayed for workshops, prevention and retreats. Always keep this in mind when setting the event view.
