How do I encrypt my online booking calendar?

For your security, our entire application is SSL encrypted. This is an encryption mechanism built into your browser that secure information.

What does HTTPS mean?

Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure (HTTPS) is an extension of the Hypertext Transfer Protocol. It is used for secure communication over a computer network.

You will recognise an encrypted connection if you have a https:// in front of your domain.

The Fitogram online booking calendar already has this encryption. This means that the data that is forwarded to us is encrypted.

What if the browser displays "No secure connection"?

This message appears if you have embedded our online booking calendar on your website and your domain does not have a secure connection.

That means that your website is not encrypted (no SSL certificate).

You can either purchase an SSL certificate for your website or use the external link to your online booking calendar (widget.fitogram.pro/YOURFITOGRAMDOMAIN). This also has a secure connection.

In general, the data that is sent to us is always encrypted. This means that as soon as the process is completed with the purchase button, the data is encrypted and sent to us. Thereby, it does not matter whether the widget is built into a page that does not have an SSL certificate.

However, there is a time window on an unencrypted website in which data can theoretically be compromised if someone unlawfully gains access to (“hacks”) your website during the period between entering the data and completing the purchase process. The emphasis here is on "theoretical" since this is extremely rare. As mentioned already, you can only completely exclude this with the help of your own SSL certificate.

With many domain providers, the SSL is included free of charge and only needs to be activated. It is best to simply contact your provider here.
